The Mental Health Collective, along with its community partners, Urban Earth, a flower and garden coop, and Southwest Senior Center are in the beginning stages of the community garden at its building at 3548 Bryant Avenue S. in Minneapolis. About 15 volunteers turned out on Saturday, May 31 to help begin the digging and planting process. The project will focus on offering opportunities for seniors to engage in gardening activities and also raise fruits and vegetables to improve nutrition for seniors living in our community.
